Introduction
A special guidance and training camp was conducted for the Irular tribal community in Walajabad, Kanchipuram district on Friday. The program aimed to create awareness about the process of obtaining essential government documents such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, and MGNREGA Job Card through government offices.
This initiative was jointly organized with the support of Children’s Monitoring Centre and True Father Charity, focusing on the welfare of marginalized Irular families.

Purpose of the Camp
The main objective of the camp was to:
Educate the Irular community on how to apply for Aadhaar, Voter ID, and job cards.
Guide families struggling to obtain Aadhaar cards for their children due to the lack of birth certificates.
Provide awareness about the welfare schemes and benefits offered by the government to tribal communities.
Event Highlights
More than 62 Irular people from villages such as Oothukadu, Nathannallur, Ullavur, Sankarapuram, and Venpakkam under Walajabad union participated in the camp.
The training session provided clear instructions on the required procedures and documentation for applying to government offices.

District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Officer, Ms. L. Dhanalakshmi, personally attended the camp and distributed welfare cards to the Irular families.
She also explained in detail the various government welfare schemes available for the tribal population.
Key Guests and Organizers
As part of the initiative, the True Father Charitable Trust Mr. D Mieyappan Administrator allocated a dedicated space for the Irular tribal community.
The camp was presided over by Mr. D. Raji, Administrator of the Children’s Monitoring Centre.
District Social Welfare Department Coordinator, Ms. Anisha, played a key role in leading the session.
Organizing efforts were effectively managed by coordinators Mr. Thangavelu and Mr. Ezhumalai from the Children’s Monitoring Centre.
